About Rihanna's new video...

I absolutely love it.

What I don't love is the comparisons people make.
In some unmentionable places on the net, Rihanna's 'Rude Boy' has been compared to this. Seriously? 'Boyz' looks like a cheap crappy pixelated Gameboy game. Rihanna's video is more Pop art.

Lady Gaga once said that people's references don't go very far back. This is a perfect example.

When I see Rude Boy, I visually imagine this:

  

Andy Warhol. With a bit of...

 

...Keith Haring. Mixed in with...

...Rasta colours.

And according to MTV News, I'm right.

So please, people, do not compare this video to the crap that is Boyz.
